The Problem

You miss 100% of the RFPs
you don't know about.

Finding public-sector design work shouldn't be a full-time job. But right now, it basically is.

🗂️

The Sources Are Everywhere

RFPs are scattered across hundreds of state portals, county websites, federal databases, and agency pages — each with different formats and posting schedules. Checking them all is impossible.

⏱️

The Timing Is Brutal

By the time an opportunity surfaces through your network, the deadline is days away — or already passed. The firms that win are the firms that see it first.

💸

The Alternatives Are Expensive

Hiring someone to monitor procurement sites costs $15,000+/year. Legacy bid services charge thousands and bury you in irrelevant IT and construction listings.

How It Works

Fresh opportunities,
every morning.

01

We Cast the Widest Net

Every day, our system checks 50+ procurement portals — state purchasing sites, county RFP boards, federal databases like SAM.gov, university systems, park authorities, and more. We check the sources your competitors aren't checking.

02

We Filter Out the Noise

Not every government contract is relevant to you. We remove IT projects, construction-only bids, expired listings, and anything outside architecture, landscape architecture, planning, civil engineering, and design services.

03

You Open Your Inbox

Every morning, curated opportunities land in your inbox and dashboard. Each listing includes the project title, agency, location, deadline, discipline, and estimated value — everything you need to decide in seconds whether to pursue.

Our Story

Built for design firms,
by a design firm.

Bid Discovery was created by a landscape architect who spent years watching smaller firms lose opportunities — not because their work wasn't good enough, but because they didn't have the business development resources of larger competitors.

We built the tool we wished existed: a simple, focused way to find public-sector design opportunities without the noise, the overhead, or the $15K/year price tag.

FAQ

Questions? We've got answers.

How is this different from checking SAM.gov myself?+

SAM.gov only covers federal opportunities. The majority of public-sector design work — city parks, campus renovations, county streetscapes — is posted on state and local portals that SAM.gov doesn't index. We monitor all of them.

What types of opportunities do you include?+

Architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, planning, civil engineering, environmental design, and related professional services. We filter out construction-only bids, IT contracts, and anything not relevant to AE firms.

How many opportunities will I see?+

It varies by region and season, but most users see 15+ new relevant opportunities per week nationwide. You can filter by state and discipline to focus on what matters to your firm.

What if the opportunities aren't relevant to my practice?+

Start with a free 14-day trial — no credit card required. If the opportunities don't match your work, you've lost nothing. We're confident they will.

Can I cancel anytime?+

Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. Cancel from your dashboard in two clicks.

Do you guarantee the accuracy of listings?+

We pull directly from official procurement sources and verify listings are active and current. However, we always recommend confirming details with the issuing agency before investing time in a proposal. Deadlines and scopes can change.
